Carissa

The story of a young woman with a law degree and an MBA who was homeless and forced into prostitution at age 12. “Carissa” won the jury prize for best documentary short at a half dozen festivals. It was Executive Produced by Davis Guggenheim and sponsored by Virgin Mobile and the Los Angeles Dodgers and ultimately aired on Current TV.

This five-minute piece was originally made for the Elevate Film Festival. Then Current TV picked it up and selected it to represent the very best of their network at the Slamdance Film Festival.
